Michael Pearson has been one of the leading contenders in the Irish Superbike Championships since 2003
with Michael taking the title of ISB Champion in 2007 on the Carryduff Forklifts R1 Yamaha.
A first time road race at the Ulster Grand Prix in 2006, saw the talented Pearson take first place in Group
B in the Superstock race, when he rode the Chris Dowd 998cc Honda Fireblade around the Dundrod
circuit at just over 116mph.
In 2007 at the Ulster Grand Prix, on a standard R1 Yamaha, Michael lapped the Dundrod circuit at just
over 124mph, giving him 8th place in the race, which was won by seasoned road racer, Ryan Farquhar.
Having competed at Daytona in Florida, the North West 200, Scarbrough, Cadwell Park, Oulton Park,
Brands Hatch, and Knockhill, Michael intends to carry on that ever improving ambition to be one of the
best Superbike riders in the country, and going by past performances, that looks set to be achieved in the
next few years.
Michael is employed by his main Sponsor, David Greer of Carryduff Forklifts and is greatful for all his help
over the past three seasons, without which none of his goals would have been possible.
Michael lives with his parents near the village of Ballygowan in Co-Down.
